Reviews from Houston County homeowners

Sample reviews for layout only. Replace with verified customer reviews before launch.

Every review on this page comes from a homeowner we poured for in Warner Robins, Centerville, Perry, Bonaire, Kathleen or Byron. We ask for a review once, by text, after the final walkthrough. We do not edit, filter or pay for them.

Driveway replacement, March 2026. Our driveway in Hawthorne was original to the house and the section by the garage had dropped close to an inch. They tore it out on a Tuesday, poured on Thursday, and we were parking on it the next weekend. The quote listed the stone depth and the rebar, which neither of the other two bids did. Only complaint is the dumpster sat in the street a day longer than planned, but they called about it before I had to ask.

Back patio, May 2026. We wanted a 14 by 20 patio off the back of a new build in Magnolia Hill. The crew sloped it away from the house, which I would not have thought to ask for, and the broom finish is not slick when it rains. The pour got pushed back three days for weather, which was annoying at the time but I would rather that than a ruined slab.

Sidewalk leveling, June 2026. The walk to our front door had sunk and my mother-in-law caught her toe on the lip. They lifted it with foam in about two hours and the lip is gone. It cost less than I expected and nobody tried to sell me a whole new sidewalk.

Workshop slab, July 2026. Needed a 12 by 16 slab for a workshop shed. They measured on a Monday and the quote was in my inbox Wednesday morning. In July they poured at 7 and were gone by lunch. One corner had a slight ridge where the form had been, and they ground it flat when they came back for the walkthrough.

Boat parking pad, August 2026. We added a parking pad for the boat next to the driveway in Eagle Springs. Five inches thick like they said, and the final bill matched the quote to the dollar. The HOA wanted a drawing before they would approve it, and the office helped me put one together. Street was swept clean when they left.

Driveway with trench drain, September 2026. The old driveway pooled water against the garage door every storm. They put a trench drain at the garage, regraded the apron and poured new. First heavy rain since and the garage floor stayed dry. The crew lead walked me through the saw-cut joints and told me to expect a hairline crack inside one of them, and that is exactly where one showed up two weeks later.

How we collect reviews

After you have walked the finished work with the crew lead and paid the balance, we send one text asking for a review. The text contains a link to our Google listing. That is the whole process. We do not send reminders, we do not offer discounts for reviews, and we do not ask friends or family to post.

We do not edit or filter what comes in. If a review is critical, it stays up and we answer it in public with what happened and what we did about it. We respond to every review, good or bad, usually within a couple of days.

If you would rather send feedback straight to us instead of posting it, the form at the bottom of this page reaches the same inbox. Sandhill Concrete reads all of it.

What to look for in a concrete contractor's reviews

Star counts tell you less than the details. When you read reviews for any concrete contractor in Houston County, ours included, look for these things.

  • Drainage. Does anyone mention where the water goes now? A slab that drains toward the house is a problem no finish can hide, and homeowners notice it after the first storm.
  • Cracking after a year. Reviews written the week of the pour tell you the crew was polite. Reviews written a year later tell you whether the base was compacted. Look for the older ones.
  • Whether they came back. Every contractor has a job that needs a return visit. The useful question is whether they showed up when called, or went quiet.
  • Whether the price matched the quote. A quote that lists thickness, base, steel and removal has nowhere to hide extras. If several reviews mention surprise charges, ask why before you sign.
  • Specific places. A review that names a subdivision off Lake Joy Road or a street in Perry was written by someone who lives there. Vague praise with no location is worth less.

Questions we get asked

Why are these reviews labeled as samples?

Because they are. This site is new and the reviews above are placeholders that show how the page will look. They will be replaced with verified reviews from real customers before we send any traffic here, and this note comes down at the same time.

Do you remove negative reviews?

No. We cannot remove a Google review and we would not if we could. We reply to it in public, say what went wrong, and say what we did to fix it.

Can I talk to a past customer before I sign?

Ask when you request your quote. Where a recent customer in your part of Houston County has agreed to take a call, we will pass on their number. We do not hand out contact details without asking the homeowner first.

Get a written quote

Tell us what you need and where. Sandhill Concrete matches your project with a licensed Houston County concrete contractor, who measures on site, writes the quote and does the work. You hear back within one business day by text or email with a site-visit window, and the written quote states thickness, reinforcement, base and removal so you can compare it line by line.
